<\/figure>\nWhat would you say is the most important to you regarding the music on your new release?<\/b><\/h4>\n
The most important thing to us is always that it moves the dancefloor and gets<\/p>\n
people excited. To that extent, having an effective and infections bassline is always a big part of our process and a clean bouncy groove seemed like the ideal fit for these tracks, so we really focused on that.<\/p>\n
How much time do you spend in the studio?<\/b><\/h4>\n
Myke: Since, with my day job I operate out of the studio, I\u2019m here just about every day, and without fail every night, working out the little bits and details \u2013 \u00a0probably about 40-50 hours a week. Scott joins me multiple nights a week to work out new tracks and additional creative ideas for whatever we\u2019re working on.<\/p>\n
What is your favourite toy for making music?<\/b><\/h4>\n
For both of us, our go to toy for every track is definitely NI\u2019s Maschine. \u00a0Scott introduced me to it when we first started working together. \u00a0I eventually added one to my set up and haven\u2019t turned back since. On top of that, we\u2019ve been having quite a bit of fun recently with some new analog synths and our dynamic delay boss pedal<\/p>\n
With whom would you like to spend time in the studio?<\/b><\/h4>\n
Myke: Boys Noize is a long time hero of mine, I\u2019d love to pick his brain about sound design, and just song writing in general. I love the power in his sound.<\/p>\n
Scott: I\u2019d love to work with Shadowchild. \u00a0His approach to beatmaking has always intrigued me and I\u2019m a hug fan of how he processes and engineers his sounds to make even completely digital elements have the warmth and impact of analog gear \u2013even though he already has tons of analog gear himself.<\/p>\n
Myke: lol, The irony of this is that our choices actually produce much more like our counterpart, that is Scott produces more like Boys Noize and my style is more reflective of Shadowchild\u2019s \u2013 this is probably why we love working together \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Scott: Coffee!<\/p>\n Myke: a little bit is dank weed is always a big help for the creative side, for myself musically, for both of us, it would definitely be Maschine, again<\/p>\n We are big believers that you can make music with anything so we try not to restrict ourselves on what we won\u2019t use, although we definitely do try to limit the amount of new soft synths we use, just to keep the learning curve limited (and focused on our analog gear) and the cpu load down<\/p>\n Myke: Since I\u2019m big on staying focused and overworking, I feel I probably watch a little more TV than I should. SO many great television series right now, it\u2019s hard for me to restrain myself sometimes.(and I\u2019m still way behind on some of my favorites)<\/p>\n Scott: Probably spending too much time gear lusting on youtube after all the awesome new equipment I want<\/p>\n Scott: Kaffe! Setting off the year for SNOE are the two guys behind Phrunk. Their demo containing two heavy weight dancefloor bombs instantly flashed the labelbosses and got signed right away.
